Sebagai penggemar kereta, pengguna kereta sejak kecil, dan pegiat kereta (baca disini); rasanya terlibat di dalam project ini adalah salah satu impian yang tercapai. Project ini membuat saya memperoleh pengalaman sangat berharga tentang desain dan konstruksi rel kereta api. Terlebih medan yang dihadapi cukup unik, berada di pegunungan dengan elevasi di atas 2000mdpl dan sebagian besar berada di terowongan. Usai memperoleh drawing dari Aec*m, koordinasi persiapan menjadi lebih intens dilaksanakan. Secara rutin setiap minggu juga digelar meeting khusus persiapan project railway lengkap dengan progress dari berbagai sub-project sebagai predecessor-nya,

Pembahasan mengenai metode konstruksi menjadi salah satu pokok bahasan utama. Lebih ditekankan konstruksi kepada per segment lengkap dengan segala resources-nya termasuk equipment yang diperlukan dengan mempertimbangkan referensi yang ada. Dalam tahap tersebut kami juga melakukan beberapa simulasi dengan bantuan Primavera. Selain itu persiapan material terutama gravel untuk ballast juga tak kalah penting. Termasuk kesiapan Aggregate Plant kami untuk dapat menyuplai kebutuhan tersebut. Kami harus menghitung kebutuhan ballast, produktivitas Aggregate Plant, waktu yang diperlukan, hingga mobilisasi gravel dengan Articulated Dump Truck. Pengujian sample dari material untuk ballast di laboratorium sebuah universitas juga sudah dilakukan untuk memastikan ketentuan teknisnya. Yang tak kalah penting adalah pengadaan concrete sleeper yang pada akhirnya diputuskan untuk outsourced lengkap dengan komitmen tanggal selesai dan pengiriman. Di sisi lain pembahasan mengenai material expediting tak bisa disepelekan. Dalam hal ini material yang dimaksud adalah rel yang dilakukan pembelian langsung ke vendor. Progress pengapalan terus diupdate untuk bisa memastikannya tiba sesuai dengan target konstruksi.

Sesuai dengan grafik dari PMBOK berikut ini, planning process group memiliki level of process interaction yang lebih besar di tahap awal. 'Do right at the first time' untuk menjamin kualitas planning dan memudahkan monitoring & controlling process.

Freeport Transport Will Operate Mine Train

Timika (ANTARA News) - PT Freeport Indonesia will operate a railway for transporting employees and materials to serve mine on a number of underground mines like Grasberg Block Cave (GBC), Big Gossan (BG), Deep Mill Level Zone (DMLZ) and Wild Cats (KL .)
